Due to insufficient hardness, the tabletop field is being replaced by quartz stone, but the high hardness of quartz stone has become a bottleneck that cannot be overcome by the industry and quartz stone manufacturers for seamless splicing.
The obvious gaps in the tabletop splicing not only affect the overall aesthetics, but also easily breed bacteria. Because the hardness of quartz stone plates is second only to natural diamond, and can reach a high Mohs hardness of 7 levels. In addition, the particles inside will collapse, so the edge opening is relatively rough during cutting, and gaps will occur during natural splicing. It is difficult to achieve seamless splicing. At present, the so-called seamless splicing will not be the same as the original board, and a adhesive line can still be seen. This is not related to the price of quartz stone, and it is not possible to achieve high prices.
To achieve seamless splicing, the first step is to polish the splicing joints. This process is a major test of the installation personnel's skills. (However, CNC equipment can now complete it) After polishing, use the manufacturer's original adhesive of the same color for pasting. Before pasting, first match the color with the tabletop board to avoid color difference. Use paper tape to paste on the edges of the two mating interfaces to avoid unnecessary trouble when the adhesive comes into contact with the surface for cleaning. After completing the preparation work, evenly apply the adhesive and fix it with an F-clip for about 15 minutes. After splicing, try to avoid polishing as much as possible.
